Manchester United are hoping to complete moves for Alex Sandro, Harry Maguire, and Kalidou Koulibaly before the transfer window closes this summer.

The Red Devils have been pretty busy this transfer window. Jose Mourinho has already completed the signings of three players – Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant.

But the Portuguese boss isn’t done with his business just yet, as he looks to build a squad that can challenge for the Premier League as well as Champions League next season. According to the Times, Manchester United are still looking to make three signing before the transfer window closes on August 9.

De Gea has been amazing in goal for the Reds, but Mourinho isn’t convinced with his defensive options. Therefore, as per the report, Alex Sandro, Harry Maguire, and Kalidou Koulibaly are the three players Jose wants to bring in before the start of next season.

Mourinho is said to be a fan of Juventus’ Alex Sandro, and United have been linked with the player since the beginning of this summer. Luke Shaw hasn’t been able to impress the United boss over the past two seasons, which also led to Ashley Young becoming Man United’s first choice left-back last season.

But Jose prefers to bring in a specialist this summer. However, Juventus continue to demand a £50 million fee for the Brazilian defender, which is too high, according to United officials.

The Reds are keen to improve their centre-back area this summer. Toby Alderweireld was their top target for most of this window, but Daniel Levy is proving to be very difficult to negotiate with.

Therefore, Manchester United have turned their attention towards England’s World Cup star Harry Maguire and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Mourinho is set to replace Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, whereas Eric Bailly is likely to be the main man in the heart of the defence next season. Lindelof did find it difficult in the Premier League last season, but was impressive for Sweden at the World Cup.

It will be interesting to see who United’s centre-back pairing for next season will be, as the Mancunians start their Premier League campaign against Leicester City on August 10.
