Manchester United has been the battleground for the clash of several egos over its long and illustrious history.
Managers and players don’t always get along well with each other, and often, the high position that both enjoy in the sights of the fans is ample cause for sparks to fly.
However, the most recent dispute that has plagued the club is the alleged problem between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho.
Reported from months now, the tense relationship has been the oft-quoted reason behind the player’s links with European giants, with Barcelona being strongly touted to sign the Frenchman over the summer. However, a major update may have occurred in the rift between the two.

As per the Mirror, Mourinho and Pogba have decided to call a truce on their differences and focus on what is best for the club. The report states that the midfielder has reconsidered pushing for a move in the winter window, and will stick around till the end of the season.
It appears that the truce in question could be similar to the ‘one more season’ pact that SAF made with Ronaldo back in 2008. It is clear that some sort of tension exists between the two, despite varying degrees of claims being made by both Jose and Paul.

Pogba is still keen on departing, and will likely discuss his future at the start of next season, with Barcelona and Juventus still believed to be possible destinations for the 25-year-old.
Being a product of the United youth academy, coupled with the state of the club at present, may be the reasons why he won’t call quits just yet, despite the differences between him and Mourinho.
All in all, it is clear that the higher-ups at the club value Pogba highly, both for his commercial appeal as well as the tactical brilliance he brings to the club. In view of this, what does the future hold for him?
